At least half a dozen people were forced from their homes after a two-alarm fire damaged three houses in Calgary’s Woodbine area Tuesday.
The call came into Calgary fire around 10 p.m., reporting a fire in the 100 block of Woodbrook Way S.W., Calgary fire said in a news release Wednesday.

When crews arrived, they found three homes fully engulfed in flames. An aerial tower was quickly set up to help douse the flames, Calgary fire said.
Calgary fire said all of the residents who were forced from their homes found alternative housing and did not need help from the Calgary Emergency Management Agency.

An ENMAX crew had to be called to the scene to repair an electrical transformer that was damaged by the flames, Calgary fire said.
“Atco Gas Company was also on scene dealing with a ruptured supply line which was caused by intense heat and collapse of one of the walls,” Calgary fire said.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
