Raymond RCMP are no longer searching for a young horse, initially reported missing early Wednesday.
In an update issued just before 5 p.m., Mounties said the horse had been found dead a short distance from the owner’s home.
Police said someone went into the property and removed the foal from the corral “sometime in the early hours” of May 2.
The matter is still under investigation
Police don’t believe the horse was taken by animal predators.
