RCMP in southern Alberta no longer searching for missing horse

Raymond RCMP are no longer searching for a young horse, initially reported missing early Wednesday.

In an update issued just before 5 p.m., Mounties said the horse had been found dead a short distance from the owner’s home.

Police said someone went into the property and removed the foal from the corral “sometime in the early hours” of May 2.

The matter is still under investigation

Police don’t believe the horse was taken by animal predators.

Raymond, Alta. is located about 36 kilometres south of Lethbridge.
