Alberta Sheriffs have shut down what they’re describing as a “drug house” after they received complaints about drug activity at the home.
The Alberta government said in a media release Tuesday that the Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods Unit (SCAN) had boarded up the home at 5106 Erin Pl. S.E. They said the locks have been changed and a fence has been put up around the home.

The owner and occupants will not be allowed on the property for 90 days, they said.
“Targeting properties that are associated with criminal activity keeps neighbourhoods safe and secure for all Albertans,” said Justice Minister Kathleen Ganley.
The province said Sheriffs began investigating the home in April 2017 after receiving complaints about the number of cars visiting the home. They were able to gather evidence confirming drug activity at the home, they said.
The owner agreed to a 90-day closure following negotiations, the province said.
The home will remain shuttered until July. 12.
