Police in southern Alberta are looking for two suspects after a woman reported two men attempted to break into her vehicle while she was in the backseat.

The woman told police she was feeding her baby at around 3 p.m. on Monday in the Bragg Creek Day Use parking lot when a dark blue Chevrolet Avalanche pulled up next to her and parked “very close” to her van.

She said two men got out of the truck and pretended to dig through the box, apparently trying to hide while another family left the area for a hike.

Then, one of the men reportedly tried to use a crowbar to open the van door. Before they were successful, the woman got in the driver’s seat of her van, started it and drove toward the entrance to the parking lot. There another vehicle was pulling in and she asked for help.
