The Huron County man charged in last week’s double homicide near Wingham was in court Thursday, now facing additional charges.
It was the first time 56-year-old Kevin Carter made a court appearance in person. He had previously appeared by video from London’s Elgin Middlesex Detention Centre.
On Wednesday, he was in court on two new charges.
On top of the two charges of first-degree murder, Carter has also been charged with forcible confinement and sexual assault with a weapon.

On March 19, Carter published a post on his Facebook account that said, “Even the nicest people have their limits. Don’t try and reach that point because the nicest people are also the scariest people when they’ve had enough.”
On March 29, OPP were called to a rural home southwest of Wroxeter, about 15 kilometres east of Wingham, where police found two dead adults.
