Emergency crews are busy responding to many reports of damage and power outages in the Greater Toronto Area caused by strong winds on Wednesday.
The region is currently under a wind warning as an arctic cold front moves through the region.
Environment Canada said strong westerly winds will push through the area in the afternoon with wind gusts of up to 90 km/h.
Toronto’s Billy Bishop Airport reported peak wind gusts of 87 km/h Wednesday morning.

In Mississauga, a crane collapsed near Erin Mills Parkway and Eglinton Avenue West. There were no injuries.
Meanwhile in Hamilton, a large exterior sign outside of a KFC at Dundurn Street South and King Street West was blown down and it landed on a taxi in the restaurant’s parking lot. No one was injured in the incident.
Across Toronto, police received several calls of blowing debris. Officers were called to deal with a large pane of glass fell from a building near East Liberty Street and Pirandello Street.
The area near Yonge Street and Grenville Street was closed to traffic temporarily after a board with nails struck a vehicle.
A garage canopy managed to make its way onto a sidewalk and next to a bus stop at Lawrence and Bond streets.
Officials said winds will gradually begin to diminish Wednesday evening.
Authorities reported power outages in some areas and damage to buildings, such as roof shingles and windows.

Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. Motorists are urged to adjust their driving due to changing road conditions.
Wednesday’s high is expected to reach 5 C with scattered flurries and an evening low of -4 C with a chance of flurries.
