Winnipeg police arrested three people on weapons charges after a man was threatened downtown Monday afternoon.
Officers rushed to the 500 block of Ellice Avenue at around 12:50 p.m. after a man called saying he was concerned for his safety.
When they arrived, they found three people and a huge stash of weapons.
The trove included two firearms, a baseball bat and two hatchets, all wrapped in their own red bandana. There was also a large sword, a quantity of ammunition for the shotguns and an animal jawbone sharpened and made into an improvised club.

Two women and a man, all from Winnipeg, were arrested and charged with various weapons offences including:
- Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations
- Possess Weapon X9
- Possession of Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
- Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
- Tampering with Serial Number of a Firearm
The suspects have been identified as:
- Allison Danielle Parent, 31
- Gwen Ginelle Ross, 22
- Harold Wilkie Mace, 27
Mace has also been charged with four counts of Fail to Comply.
They remain in custody.
