3 teens charged in Marean Lake, Sask. break-in

Police have charged three youth with breaking into a Marean Lake home where an elderly couple were sleeping. File/ Global News

Three teens have been charged after allegedly breaking into a home at Marean Lake, Sask., where two elderly people were sleeping.

The break and entered happened on March 22.

Greenwater RCMP said the youth stole two pellet guns, a purse and the couple’s Buick Enclave.

Police said they were quickly caught but the vehicle was damaged.

The homeowners were not injured.

The three youth, from the Yellow Quill First Nation, are charged with break and enter, theft, theft of a motor vehicle, and mischief.

They are scheduled to appear in Rose Valley provincial court on May 16.

A fourth youth, 11, was also identified has being involved but is too young to be charged.

Marean Lake is roughly 260 kilometres east of Saskatoon.
