Elderly man targeted in Calgary carjacking, suspects on the run

Calgary police responded to a carjacking where an elderly man's car was reportedly stolen on Thursday, March 29. Global News

An elderly man was the victim of a carjacking in Calgary on Thursday afternoon, according to Calgary police.

The man was approached by two men at about 3:40 p.m. and told to get out of his car. He reported the men had a gun.

The man told police he surrendered his car and the offenders drove away.

Police said the stolen car was involved in two minor crashes before it was eventually dumped and found by officers at about 4:30 p.m.

Police said that as of 5:30 p.m., the offenders still hadn’t been located.
