Andrew Robert Douglas Berry is appearing in court in Victoria this morning for a focus hearing.
The Vancouver Island man is facing two counts of second-degree murder for the Christmas day deaths of his two young daughters in 2017.
Court documents show Berry and the mother of four-year-old Aubrey and six-year-old Chloe were in an ongoing legal dispute at the time.
In February, the Chief Justice of Supreme Court came to the defense of Justice Victoria Gray who had granted Berry a Christmas Eve visit with his daughters, who were found dead the following day.
Berry will appear in court by video.
