The City of Regina has announced they are moving back to weekly garbage collection on Monday, April 2 after four months of the Biweekly Garbage Collection Pilot Project.
The results of the pilot project, along with recommendations, will be presented to city council this spring.
In efforts to find out if the bi-weekly garbage collection over the winter months worked for the people of Regina, the city has launched an online survey, which is available from March 26 to April 10, and are encouraging all residents to complete the survey.
The City of Regina is focused on waste reduction and are encouraging residents to reduce, reuse and recycle to extend the life of the city’s landfill.
The success of the city’s waste programs and services depends on the participation and support of our residents.
