Man stabbed outside of Saskatoon bar

A man is recovering in hospital after being stabbed outside a bar in Saskatoon.

Police said they were called to the bar in the 3300-block of Fairlight Drive just after 2 a.m. for a report of an injured man.

Officers arrived to find the victim driving away in a black Saturn. The driver refused to stop for police and continued driving to a parking lot on Centennial Drive where he stop.

Police said a woman who was a passenger got out of the vehicle but the driver refused and became verbally combative with officers.

Officers said they used a bean-bag gun to break a window of the Saturn at which time the driver left the vehicle.

He was taken to hospital by paramedics for treatment of a non-life-threatening wound.
