Spring has officially arrived, but it hasn’t brought much warmth with it.

Londoners got a taste of Spring at the end of February, but since then temperatures have been less than ideal.

“But even though our spring will be cooler than usual, you can expect to see a very warm summer,” said Global News Chief Meteorologist, Anthony Farnell.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

“Even though we are talking about a cooler April though, it’s still going to be warmer than we’ve seen recently. It’s also going to set us up for a big switch once we move towards early May, where it’s going to feel like mid-summer,” he said.

Farnell says the below-average temperatures could result in a snowfall or two between now and mid-April.

“It’s a really weird flip-flip setup, where February was warmer than anything we’ve seen in March, and now we’re seeing the repercussions of that warmer month,” Farnell said.
