Hedley faces an uncertain future after numerous women have come forward to accuse frontman Jacob Hoggard of sexual misconduct, including an allegation of rape.
ET Canada can confirm that Hoggard, 33, is currently under investigation by Toronto Police Service’s Sex Crimes unit.
“I have just spoken with the lead investigator in our Sex Crimes unit and I can confirm there is an ongoing investigation and that no charges have been laid at this time,” Toronto Police Service spokesperson Meaghan Gray tells ET Canada.
“I will not, however, confirm the identity of anyone who may or may not have come forward with a complaint,” she added.

In statements issued in late February, Hoggard and the band revealed that Hedley will be taking “an indefinite hiatus” after completing previously scheduled tour dates.
In his statement, Hoggard said he’s “decided to step away from my career indefinitely,” admitting that “I have behaved in a way that objectified women” and describing his treatment of women as “reckless and dismissive of their feelings.” However, Hoggard also insisted that he has never engaged in any sexual act that wasn’t consensual.
“I need to be completely clear: I have never engaged in non-consensual sexual behaviour in my life. Ever,” wrote the Hedley frontman.
