WINNIPEG – Even though it’s technically the off-season, Winnipeg Blue Bombers Thomas Miles and Matthias Goossen haven’t rested.
The two players have been helping to stop domestic violence and bullying across the province. They’ve recently gone as far north as Snow Lake to talk to students.
“They’re spreading some good words to the kids,” Brian McMillan of the Frontier School Division said. “I think all of us have been affected by what they’re doing in the presentation.”

The CFL club first delivered their Break the Silence and Bombers Tackle Bullying programs in 2016.
“(These) are problems that we need to face and we need to break the silence on them,” Miles said.
Players visit more than 50 groups each year, reaching hundreds. An impact made possible by the Bombers’ strong commitment to the community.

“It’s nice to have a role model and someone to look up to,” McMillan said. “They can move forward with the positive results that will come out of this presentation.”
