The North Okanagan Shuswap School District is expected to decide on a course of action soon, after a young girl was allegedly sexually abused by another female student at an elementary school.
The parents of the victim say the incident — which first occurred back in November — was handled poorly by the school and the district.
The father of the girl says they had a meeting with school officials Monday, and they were again told putting the two girls in the same classroom afterwards, was a mistake.
The district says in a statement it’s working with the families and the school to build a shared understanding and supportive environment.
