Flood damage keeps Central Okanagan parks closed

Repair work delayed for flood damaged central Okanagan parks – Mar 7, 2018

Regional District of Central Okanagan (RDCO) staff are working with the disaster financial assistance (DFA) program to secure funding for flood recovery projects in local parks.

The RDCO has determined more than $2 million is needed to make the necessary repairs in several regional district parks.

Hardy Falls and Mill Creek regional parks remain closed awaiting repairs, while portions of Glen Canyon, Okanagan Centre Safe Harbour and Woodhaven Nature Conservancy regional parks are open, but have closed areas due to damage from last year’s flooding.
