Parkland Ambulance employee helps deliver 2 babies just hours apart

It was a busy morning for one employee at Parkland Ambulance’s wide-area communication centre in Prince Albert, Sask.

During an overnight shift, a communication specialist lent her expertise to help in the delivery of two babies.

The first baby was a boy born in Nipawin at around 1:15 a.m. on Sunday. Another family welcomed a girl at around 4:35 a.m. near Tisdale.

Both sets of mothers and babies are fine.

Parkland Ambulance said it’s not often that their communication specialists help out in these situations, but twice in one night was rare.
