Metallica announces Canada, U.S. dates of WorldWired Tour

Hard-rock band Metallica announced the North American dates for its WorldWired Tour on Monday. So far, there are only two Canadian dates on the North American leg of the tour.

In support of the band’s latest LP Hardwired… to Self-Destruct, Metallica plans to visit the 34 cities it missed on its 2017 North American tour.

The tour kicks off September 2 in Madison, WI, and continues into 2019, concluding March 13 in Grand Rapids, MI.

Metallica is also offering “Wherever I May Roam Black Tickets,” which allows fans floor access to any Metallica concert on the upcoming tour.

“For the first time in ‘Tallica history, you may purchase one ticket that will allow you floor access to any Metallica show on the 2018/2019 North American tour,” the band said of the 250 tickets.

“Feel like trucking to Tulsa? Booking to Boise? Motoring to Minneapolis? No problem… you pick the show, call us no less than 48 hours before the gig and you’re in!”

Ticket presales begin on Feb. 27, but only for those a part of Metallica’s fan club. General admission tickets go on sale on March 2.
