The search for a missing London woman has been called off by local police who say they’re now assisting in a coroner’s investigation instead.
London police confirmed to 980 CFPL shortly after 8 a.m. Monday that 52-year-old Karyn Walters was deceased and there was nothing to indicate her death was suspicious.
London police initially sent out a statement asking for the public’s help in finding Walters around 2:30 a.m. Sunday. They said she hadn’t been seen since late Friday night and they and her family were concerned for her welfare.
Shortly after 7 p.m. Sunday, officers issued an update saying they were no longer looking for Walters and were assisting the coroner with an investigation.
London police said when Walters was last seen Friday, it was in the area of Hamilton Road and Gore Road. They described her as Caucasian, five-foot-two with a medium build, about 140 pounds. They said she had shoulder-length brown hair that was in a ponytail.
