A sharp-eyed witness who noted a vehicle license plate number helped West Kelowna Mounties nab a couple suspected thieves Friday morning.
The two men were reportedly trying to open vehicle doors in the parking lot of a Dobbin Road hotel.
They left in a car that had been stolen in Vernon earlier this week.
Officers pulled the vehicle over on Highway 97 at Boucherie Road, arresting the two suspects without incident.
“Due to the immediate call to our police dispatchers and the quick response of our members, RCMP were able to locate the stolen vehicle and take two known criminals into custody.” said RCMP Cst. Dave Gautier in a news release.
A man from Kelowna and a Vernon resident are in custody facing property related offenses.
