Extreme cold moves out and big warm-up on the way!

Thursday
-35 is what it felt like Thursday morning in Saskatoon as temperatures dipped back to -25 to start the day under mostly clear skies, which was seven degrees warmer than Wednesday morning’s extreme cold start.
A few clouds moved in during the first chunk of the day with a southwesterly wind kicking in and helping to warm us up into the minus teens before noon.
More clouds moved in during the afternoon with a few flurries as we continued climbing up through the minus teens toward minus single digits for a daytime high.
Friday
-32 is around what it’ll feel like with wind chill as you head out the door Friday morning with some clouds continuing to hangout over the area in the morning before sunshine kicks back into full swing later on.
A warm south-southwesterly wind will kick in during the day with gusts upwards of 40 km/h helping warm us up into minus single digits for an afternoon high.
Weekend
A push of clouds along a trough moving through will dominate the day on Saturday and bring in a chance of snow into the evening and overnight period before we get into a few sunny breaks on Sunday.
The big story of the weekend will be the warmer weather, with daytime highs expected to climb into mid-minus single digits both days.

The warm air will stick around for the work week with daytime highs staying in mid-minus single digits with more clouds on Monday before we get into more sunshine mid-week.
