Manitobans are being asked to roll up their sleeves and donate blood after a national call to action from Canadian Blood Services.
The organization says it is hoping for 35,000 donors across the country by March 10 to help meet patient needs.
In Manitoba, there are more than 1,200 appointments that need to be filled in that time.

Canadian Blood Services says the national blood inventory steadily declined over the winter months, but the organization hopes the arrival of spring will lead to more Canadians donating blood as part of their routine.
