-40 wind chills return Wednesday morning before a warm up.
Saskatoon Forecast
Tuesday
After falling into the -20s overnight, a little light snow and clouds moved in and warmed us up into the minus teens by morning with wind chills popping out of the -30s to start the day.
Mostly cloudy skies stuck around into the middle of the day with the mercury rising up into the mid-minus teens before noon.
Clouds linger into the afternoon with a chance of light snow as a cold front slips through and stalls our warming in the minus teens.

Tuesday Night
Clouds clear during the evening as a ridge of high pressure pushes in the arctic air and causes temperatures to dive down into the -30s with extreme wind chills expected to dip into the -40s.
Wednesday
Skin could freeze in five to 10 minutes if exposed to -40 wind chills that’ll linger into the morning under mostly sunny skies.
Milder air will push back in during the day as the next system pushes in a southerly breeze that should help pick us back up into the mid-minus teens for a daytime high with some clouds moving in.
Thursday-Friday
That system will help scoop us up into even milder air to finish the week with afternoon highs approaching minus single digits Thursday before cracking a few degrees into them on Friday.
Mostly cloudy skies are expected to move in Thursday before we finish off the week with a return to beautiful blue skies and sunshine Friday.
Weekend Outlook
The warm-up will last for the first half of the weekend with a daytime high in mid-minus single digits Saturday as clouds return with a chance of flurries before skies clear back out and colder air drops us down again on Sunday.
