Update: Highway 5 southbound from Merritt has since re-opened.

The southbound lanes to the Coquihalla remain closed near Merritt as the result of a vehicle incident.
DriveBC doesn’t say how many vehicles are involved other than the incident is a Portia, Exit 202 and the closure begins at Merritt Exit 286.
It says there are two alternate routes: Highway 8 to Highway 1, or Highway 5A to Highway 3.
