A Nova Scotia man has been charged with drug importation and trafficking after getting his hands on a package of MDMA that was sent in the mail from China.
MDMA is commonly known as ecstasy.

According to the RCMP, the package was intercepted by RCMP and Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officials, who had been monitoring the transaction.
Police say the package was originally delivered to a home in Stellarton and then transported to a home in Dartmouth, where the suspect opened it.

The man fled when officers tried to arrest him, but he was later caught on Windmill Road on Dec. 19.

Ethan Shane Archibald, 20, of Stellarton has been charged with importation of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
He has been remanded until his next court appearance on Dec. 27.
