Amrud practised law with the Ministry of Justice for 34 years, most recently as associate deputy minister.

She has advised the government in a number of areas, including constitutional, human rights, trade, and Aboriginal issues.

Amrud has also been involved in the development, drafting and publication of legislation.

In her new role, Amrud will oversee board activities and conduct appeal hearings.

The Labour Relations Board is a quasi-judicial tribunal that administers appeals under The Saskatchewan Employment Act.
