James Porter made 40 saves as the Kelowna Rockets blanked the Saskatoon Blades 5-0 on Saturday in Western Hockey League (WHL) action.
Kyle Topping had two goals for the Rockets (20-11-3).
Jack Cowell, Carsen Twarynski and Liam Kindree had the other goals and Kole Lind had three assists.
Ryan Kubic made 20 saves in the loss, which snapped Saskatoon’s (14-17-3) three-game winning streak.
The Rockets went 2 for 3 on the power play while the Blades went 0 for 6 with the man advantage and gave up a shorthanded goal.
Saskatoon is back in action Sunday afternoon when they take on the Regina Pats in the last game before the holiday break.
The Blades return from the holiday break on Dec. 27 when the Prince Albert Raiders travel to Saskatoon.
