1 man killed, 2 women sent to hospital in collision near Edmonton

A 39-year-old driver died and two other people were sent to hospital as result of a collision west of Edmonton Friday morning.

The collision happened at the intersection of Highway 633 and Range Road 25 where two vehicles collided at around 7:51 a.m.

RCMP said a man driver of one of the vehicles died at the scene. A 35-year-old woman who was a passenger in the same vehicle was taken to an Edmonton-area hospital with serious injuries, police said.

A 47-year-old was the only person inside the second vehicle. She was also transported to hospital, but police haven’t released details about her injuries.

RCMP said a collision analyst is conducting an investigation into the cause of the collision.

The intersection of Highway 633 and Range Road 25 is about 65 kilometres west of Edmonton.
