Three youths were arrested in the north Okanagan after a threat towards a local school was posted on social media.
In a news release issued Friday afternoon, RCMP said the threat was directed towards Vernon Secondary.
Other than saying the threat was made through a video post on social media, RCMP did not specify what the threat was about.
Three youths were arrested in connection with the threat on Wednesday and charged with uttering threats and mischief.

The trio has since been released into the care of their parents on conditions and pending a court appearance.
Students, staff and parents of the school have been made aware of the situation.
A school letter sent to parents on Thursday stated the threat was taken seriously.
“Yesterday afternoon we received a call from concerned parents. Their child received a Snapchat message via social media from VSS students threatening our school. All threats to our school community are taken seriously and we initiated our Threat Assessment protocol and contacted the RCMP immediately,” the letter stated.
RCMP said they are working with School District 22 to ensure the safety of the school.
Police believe this was an isolated incident and that there is no further threat to the school.
