Laval police have confirmed that a 38-year-old man, whose body was run over by a car Wednesday morning, was the victim of a prior hit-and-run.
A 29-year old motorist called 911 at 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday after he struck the victim, whose body was lying on Marcel-Villeneuve Avenue, between Harmonie Street and Montée du Moulin in Laval.

At the time, it was unclear how the body ended up in the middle of the road.
“We are unsure of the cause of death if the body was deceased before or because of the collision,” Laval police spokesperson Évelyne Boudreau told Global News on Wednesday.
After interviewing witnesses and a thorough analysis of the scene police said the victim had been hit by another vehicle prior to the reported collision.
