Police said a woman was walking on a path towards Cloverbar Lane in Sherwood Park on Aug. 14 when she was approached from behind by a man. The victim was wearing earphones so she didn’t hear the attacker coming, RCMP said.

The man grabbed the woman and forced her into tall grass next to the path, where she was sexually assaulted, according to police. The victim was able to get away and yell for help during the attack.
