When Gage Archer heard he could grow his hair and help others struggling with cancer, he knew it was the right thing to do.
But since he began in June, the 10-year-old West Kelowna boy has been bullied by some of his peers, even called transgender.

Despite the teasing and name calling, Archer says it doesn’t matter.
He’s doing it because both his cousin and aunt battled cancer and needed to wear wigs.

He and his sister are going to have their hair cut off in May, but Archer wants to keep growing it back to donate.
At this point , his fundraiser for the B.C. Children’s Hospital Balding for Dollars event has brought in more than $2,000.
