Day 8 and some St. Lawrence College Kingston students join striking faculty on picket lines – Oct 25, 2017

Striking college faculty got some support on the picket lines in Kingston Wednesday.

A handful of St. Lawrence College students marched alongside their professors in support of their efforts to get a new contract. Amanda Parslow, an early childhood education program student, organized the event.

“We’re aware of what’s going and we support our faculty and want to see some communications between the college and the union, it would be nice for them to get back to the table.”

A number of students spoke about their frustration with the current situation.  Practical nursing student Meghan Fodden hopes something happens fairly soon.
