2 suspects steal $2K worth of merchandise through hole in Canadian Tire fence

RCMP say two suspects stole close to $2,000 worth of merchandise from a Canadian Tire in Lower Sackville, N.S. RCMP

Nova Scotia RCMP are looking for two suspects in connection with a brazen daylight robbery that resulted in $2,000 worth of merchandise taken from a Canadian Tire store in Lower Sackville.

According to police, two male suspects drove up to the Canadian Tire at 796 Sackville Dr. at around noon on Oct. 22.

They were in a black Dodge Caravan and had parked the vehicle on the side of the building. Police allege at this point, they had cut a hole in the garden centre fence. They then parked their van in the parking lot.

Police say the two men went inside the store and filled multiple carts with items including two chainsaws, a KitchenAid mixer, and two trolling motors.

The suspects then wheeled the carts outside to the garden centre, went back to their vehicle and drove it to the hole in the fence.

They were able to load the items into the van before driving away.

Both suspects are described as clean-shaven white men between 40 and 50 years old.

The first suspect was wearing a grey hoodie with the word CAT on it, black track pants, white sneakers and a black ball cap with sunglasses on the brim.

The second suspect was wearing a green jacket, blue jeans, white sneakers and a black hat.

Anyone with information is asked to call Halifax District RCMP or Halifax Regional Police. People can also submit a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
