Retired Belleville Orthodontist involved in a criminal case has died from cancer

Anthony Gary Solomon, a 69-year-old man involved in a criminal case, has died, according to the Crown Attorney.

Published reports have said the retired Belleville Orthodontist passed away from liver cancer last week.

Solomon was facing child pornography and voyeurism-related charges after allegedly videotaping his patients without their knowledge.

The charges were laid earlier this year.

Prosecutor Lee Burgess said more details will be discussed in a Belleville court next Wednesday.

It is expected the Crown’s case against Solomon will be withdrawn.
