Police in Port Hope have recovered a taxi which was stolen early Tuesday morning.
Around 5 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to Port Hope Taxi for reports of a break-in. Police say a taxi was stolen from the parking lot on Maitland Street.
The vehicle was described as a grey 2005 Chevrolet Impala with No. 15 on each side of the light with Ontario licence plate BPZK-518.
Police say the vehicle could have rear damage.
“It is believed the culprit(s) who took the car collided it into a cement wall,” police stated.
“If anyone observes this vehicle they are asked to call police immediately and are requested not to approach the vehicle or engage with any occupants.”
Around 1:15 p.m., police say the vehicle was recovered but the investigation is ongoing.
