On Monday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Finance Minister Bill Morneau made an appearance in Stouffville, Ont. to announce that they had changed their proposed small business tax reforms.

Morneau, the architect of the Liberal government’s tax plan, has also recently come under fire recently for not properly disclosing a private corporation which controls a villa in France.

Trudeau stepped up to the microphone after the announcement and many reporters had questions for Morneau including Global News producer Veronica Tang.

But Trudeau was having none of it.

“My questions are actually for Minister Morneau,” Tang said.

“I’ll take them,” Trudeau responded. “You’ve got an opportunity to chat with the prime minister. I’m happy to be here.”

After stepping forward, Morneau simply shrugged before saying, “he’s the boss.”

A second reporter from the Globe and Mail also asked to speak to the finance minister and Trudeau again looked to hold court with the media.

“You have to ask the question of me first, because you get the chance to talk to the prime minister.”

A few people found humour in the situation on Twitter.

Another figured it was probably for the best that Trudeau tried to do the talking.
