Saturday Night Live was back to its Donald Trump-inspired shenanigans this week, with Alec Baldwin returning to the fore to mock the president’s involvement in a wide array of high-profile matters, ranging from the NFL “Take a Knee” protest controversy to his recent spat with Republican Senator Bob Corker.

The cold open depicted Trump addressing a crowd in Harrisburg, Pa. — which he mispronounced as “harass-burg” — and assuring them that he would get rid of everything that his predecessor Barack Obama did, such as Obamacare, the Iran nuclear deal and Michelle Obama’s vegetable garden (which he assured would be replaced by a garden of chicken nuggets).

Trump then gave a phone call to Vice-President Mike Pence, played by Beck Bennett, who was shown attending an Indianapolis Colts NFL game.

Pence then stands for the national anthem along with the rest of the crowd, before telling Trump that some of the players were kneeling down for the anthem. The revelation prompts Trump to instruct Pence to leave the game immediately, which he does.

After hanging up and taking some time to launch barbs at “midget” Senator Bob Corker — “this guy is so small that a dermatologist found him on a mole” — Trump once again dials Pence, who is now at a Starbucks location

Baldwin’s Trump asks him to check the cups to see if they say “Happy Holidays” or “Merry Christmas.” When Pence reminds him that it’s still only October and reveals that the cups say “Pumpkin spice is back,” Trump once again tells him to leave before hanging up.

Another aside follows, with Trump insulting Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, before once again dialing Pence, who is now seated in a wedding hall.

“Everything looks very respectful,” Bennett’s version of Pence assures, but Baldwin insists that he describe what he sees in detail. “Ok, I see the groom. He’s waiting patiently at the altar. And then I see… uh-oh, there’s another groom,” Pence says, as Trump again yells at him to flee the scene.

“I know you hate this word ‘abort’ but abort Mike, abort, vamanos!” Trump frantically yells, before hanging up and offering his thoughts to his audience. He tells them at the Bible states that “marriage is between a man and woman, then another woman, then another woman, and maybe one more if you’ve got it in you.”
