Calgary police investigating a drive-by shooting in the community of Renfrew on Tuesday evening don’t believe the attack was random in nature.

Officers were called to the 1500 block of 4 Street N.E. at around 7 p.m. for reports of shots fired.

Police said it’s believed a light-coloured Honda or Toyota sedan was travelling south on 4 Street N.E. when it stopped beside a parked, newer-model, black Mercedes Benz sedan.

“The passenger in the Honda shot multiple times into the other vehicle, and then both vehicles fled south on 4 Street,” police said in a Wednesday news release.
