Police are investigating the discovery of a man’s body in Richmond overnight.
Richmond RCMP said the body was found near Garden City Road and Granville Avenue shortly after 4:30 a.m.
The death is being treated as both suspicious and targeted, said Mounties in a news release.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called to the scene and is now leading the investigation.
Police have released no other details about the victim.

Just three weeks ago, 41-year-old Richmond resident Joseph De Carvalho was found dead just over a kilometre away on the 7500 block of Bridge Street.
Police also described his killing as targeted.
Investigators have not commented on a possible link between the deaths.
