The child pornography case against suspended Saskatoon school teacher Rhett Lundgren is going straight to trial.
He was scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Oct. 11, but the Crown has filed a direct indictment.

Lundgren was arrested in December 2016 and charged with attempting to access child pornography and arranging to commit a sexual offence against a child.

Police said the alleged target was a child between the age of eight and 10.
Lundgren was released on bail only to be charged a month later with possession of child pornography and breach of an undertaking.

He is also facing charges out of Red Deer, Alta., where he is accused of sexual exploitation and luring.
None of the allegations have been proven in court.
No trial date has been set.
