The tallies are in, and Greater Vancouverites helped Global BC raise about $40,000 for Food Banks BC on Thursday.
Global BC broadcast live from four locations as part of its fifth annual Thanks for Giving campaign to raise donations of food and money for food banks around the province.
- Surrey Food Bank, 10732 City Parkway, Surrey
- Maple Ridge Food Bank, 22726 Dewdney Trunk Road, actual drop off at 119 Avenue
- Global Okanagan, 342 Leon Avenue, Kelowna, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Victoria Mustard Seed Food Bank 625 Queens Avenue, Victoria, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

People were invited to come by any of those locations to drop off money or food, or to donate online.
But donations didn’t stop on Thursday. You can still give money to food banks right here.
