Global BC’s Thanks For Giving campaign raises $65,000 for food banks

We asked members of our community to help and, once again, they came through.

Global BC’s fourth annual Thanks For Giving drive raised $65,000 for B.C. food banks.

On Oct. 6, members of the public and companies donated at multiples locations in Vancouver, Kelowna and Penticton, with all proceeds going to Food Banks BC.

Funds raised will be used to assist B.C.’s local food banks so that they can ensure that families, children and individuals receive the assistance they need.

Food totals are still being added up, but we thank everyone for their support.
