Calgary police are investigating a shooting in the city’s southeast Thursday morning, which left a woman with serious injuries.
At around 4:30 a.m., police were called to an apartment complex in the community of Forest Lawn in the 1700 block of 37th Street S.E. after reports of gunfire.

Police said early reports indicate multiple shots were fired into the residence. Officers don’t know if the victim was the intended target.
Calgary police say the woman was in serious condition when she was taken to hospital. EMS said the victim’s injuries are not life-threatening.
