Alberta election 2017: Lac La Biche County results

Nothing changes in the mayor’s chair, but some incumbents were ousted in Lac La Biche County’s municipal election on Monday night, according to preliminary returns.

Omer Moghrabi was re-elected mayor with 2,099 votes against the 1,407 that Gail Broadbent-Ludwig managed.

Ward 1 will be represented by Darlene Beniuk (170 votes), who defeated incumbent Wanda Austin (89 votes).

Ward 2 will be represented by George L’Heureux (169 votes), Ward 3 by Colette Borgun (328 votes), Ward 4 by Jason Stedman (194 votes), who beat incumbent David G. Phillips (67 votes), Ward 6 by Sterling Johnson (254 votes) and Ward 7 by two councillors, Lorin Tkachuk (465 votes) and Colin Cote (224 votes), both of whom defeated incumbent John Paul Nowak (161 votes).

Ward 5 went unchallenged, and will be represented by Charlyn Moore.
