A 29 year-old has been charged after police were called to a downtown Winnipeg apartment building for reports of a man with a gun, assaulting a security guard.

Officers, including the Tactical Support Team, were called to the 300 block of Kennedy St. around 9 p.m. Monday.

The victim told police the suspect had tried to get into a downtown apartment building, and when he was denied entry, he pulled out a handgun and threatened to shoot the victim.

The suspect was later arrested and a replica hand gun was found near Portage Place.

  • Fail to comply with recognizance
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order
