Man killed in two-vehicle crash on Highway 103 in Hebb’s Cross

RCMP in Nova Scotia are investigating a crash between a car and a tractor-trailer that claimed the life of a 50-year-old man from Lunenburg County.

Police were called to the scene at the intersection of Conquerall Road and Highway 103 in Hebb’s Corner at around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday.

They arrived to find a severely damaged small car and a tractor-trailer that had rolled onto its side.

According to police, the driver of the car died on the scene. His name has not been released, but RCMP say he was from Chelsea.

The driver of the truck was not injured, while the passenger in the truck was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

RCMP believe the car was travelling westbound, crossed the centre line and went into the path of the oncoming tractor-trailer.

Highway 103 was closed from the time of the crash until 9:30 a.m. Monday.
