Calgary police said William Aberhart School was put in a lockdown on Wednesday after a student reported getting a threatening message from another student at the school.
Though they wouldn’t give exact details on the threat, police said the message indicated the student was going to cause some harm.
The student who received the threat told school officials, who then initiated a lockdown and contacted police.
After about an hour, police arrested the student who allegedly sent the threatening message at a location off-site and the lockdown was lifted.
